It is with great pride and purpose that I welcome you to Kalibu Academy
A distinguished institution officially inaugurated on 14th July 2007 by the former Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Olive Masanza. Since its founding, the Academy has grown into a beacon of academic excellence, nurturing students with a rigorous, values-driven education that prepares them for global success.
Situated on a serene 60-acre campus off Chileka Road in Blantyre City, Kalibu Academy offers an environment purpose-built for learning. Our modern classroom blocks are designed to ensure optimal student engagement, with class sizes capped at 30 to promote personalized instruction.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
We are especially proud of our state-of-the-art science laboratories, which support hands-on learning in Physical Science, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, making us one of the few schools in Malawi to deliver both theoretical and practical science education at an exceptional standard.
These facilities support practical-based learning in agriculture, allowing students to engage directly with food production, animal husbandry, and sustainable farming practices. This hands-on approach reinforces classroom theory and cultivates essential life skills.
Cambridge Curriculum Excellence
Kalibu Academy follows the internationally recognized Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, and we are fully accredited to offer Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and Advanced Level (A2) examinations.
Our teaching staff, comprising highly qualified local and expatriate educators hold at least a first degree and bring a wealth of experience, passion, and global perspective to the classroom.
We also offer Cambridge Primary education from Year 1 to Year 6, as well as Reception providing a nurturing and academically sound foundation for young learners. Our early years programme emphasizes holistic development, literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth ensuring that children begin their educational journey with confidence and curiosity.
